Can wall panels be applied directly to tiles?

Yes, provided they are level, and well adhered to the wall, you must also ensure they are cleaned down before the application of the panels, we recommend sugarsoap for the degreasing, and if the tiles are highly polished you may need to sand them to allow the adhesive adequate bonding.

Can wall panels be applied to plaster boarded walls?

Yes, Plaze panels can be attached directly to plaster or timber subframes, using our wall panel adhesive, however in wet areas we recommend the area is tanked first to ensure compliance with building regulations.

How much do Plaze panels weigh?

SurfaceGlas panels weigh approximately 14kg

SurfaceFinish panels weigh approximately 17kg

Can I order Plaze panels in larger sizes than 2440 x 1220mm?

Yes, these are available, please contact us at info@plaze.co.uk to discuss your specific requirements.

Can I sit the panel directly onto a tray or bath edge?

Yes, but you must use the spacers supplied in our installation kit, to ensure there is room for expansion, and then seal with our sealant for that long lasting finish.

Are your wall panels stain and mould resistant?

Yes, Plaze panels will be unaffected by brief contact with standard shower products, including coloured shampoos and detergents.

However please avoid contact with bleach, and abrasive cleaning products. Our panels have excellent mould and bacterial resistance.

How do I fit grab rails, shower seats?

We recommend you fix through the panels into the wall behind to ensure a secure fixing, and please allow 3mm around the hole created (for expansion) and fully seal around the apertures to finish for full peace of mind.

How should I care for my Plaze panels?

We recommend cleaning our panels with a microfibre cloth, warm water and a non-abrasive detergent. Scouring powders or similar products should never be used.

Wiping down with a squeegee after use should be sufficient to prevent staining in most cases.

Limescale residue can be easily removed using a soft cloth and a 10% solution of citric acid, lime juice, or household white vinegar.
